Library Card

Getting a Library Card

You can get a library card at our Circulation Desk at the front of the Library.  There is no fee for a card.

Eligibility

Anyone who lives or owns property in Waterford or Lake Angelus or pays Waterford property tax is eligible for a Waterford Township Library card. Proof of residency is required. We will accept:
  • A driver's license with a current Waterford or Lake Angelus address.
  • A bill or rent receipt with the applicant's name and Waterford or Lake Angelus address.
  • A tax payment receipt for property in Waterford or Lake Angelus with the applicant's name.
Other forms of identification may be accepted if bearing name and current Waterford or Lake Angelus address.

A child of any age can obtain a library card when accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. An application form must be signed if the child will be getting the card when accompanied by anyone other than a parent or legal guardian. Download the Application Form (PDF) online.

Temporary or Non-Resident Cards

If you are a resident of a neighboring community whose library is a reciprocating member of The Library Network cooperative, you may use your home library card at the Waterford Public Library. We can also issue a 30-day temporary card to residents of such reciprocating communities to allow time to get a card from your home library.
